To find some information from your system without physical access is possible. Here are 2 commands that can safe you a trip to a datacenter for example.
lshw
List hardware will show you information of all your hardware
sudo dmidecode # you might want to pipe it to less
This command will show you a bunch of information. In my case I was searching for the speed of my memory. (see below)
