I wanted to use a calendar, but not for one stand alone machine. If I use something I like to use it on every device I log on to. So I heard about google calendar. I already had an account for google adsense, so that part was easy :)

It is a really great tool, still in beta it sais, but great non the less. I haven't noticed anything funny. So this one is great. But the add-ons you can 4use with firefox and thunderbird are SUPER!

The add on I use for Firefox (2.0) is: Google Calendar Notifier. Easy to install and easy to use. It is located in the right bottom corner and if you hover your mouse over it you will see the appointments you have for that day.

For Thunderbird (2.0) I use a couple of add-ons. To integrate a calendar in thunderbird I use: Lightning. Easy to use, without any fancy stuff. To let this tool communicate with google, you can use: Provider for Google Calendar. Nothing needs to be configured. It just works. After this there was only one thing left for me. What to do with the todo's. I had some trouble with using the todo function in lightning. Then I came across ReminderFox. A great tool which can be configure just the way you want it.

I would like to say. Try it, it works great.

PS. I use ubuntu linux Feisty Fawn.
