This article will tell you how to configure phpBB to authenticate to a Windows 2003 Active Directory Server. As a server I use OpenBSD 4.0 with php5-core-5.1.4p1-hardened and mysql-server-5.0.24a. How to configure your apache can be found here (in dutch). Extract the version from the download section of phpBB. Follow the installation process described at their site. After this works you can use the ldapauthmod for phpBB. Follow the whole process or you can use these files (only for version phpBB 2.0.22 and ldapauthmod 1.1.8b) When you configure the LDAP environment make sure the language is set to english, else you'll see empty lines.
